I only clicked on this because I am a Kurt Cobain lover, not because of his clothes in particular . . .

The Kurt comment was a loose reference from a fellow Cobain head and really doesn't make any strong comparisons to dirty, ripped pants and flannel shirts. As stated the collection is soft grunge and I love it.

And thank God for bringing us Kurt Cobain too. May he rest in peace. My playlist is full of Nirvana tunes and I often put on the phones and go to sleep hearing "Rape Me" and "The Man Who Sold The World." Can't get sick of this stuff.

I wish I could help you but getting into design isn't really my area of expertise per say. I know that some designers that weren't trained in the tradition way (i.e. going to school) started off in the textile industry, usually in Europe. Perhaps some hands on experience with making clothing, or acting as an assistant to a new designer? You should read about Diane Von Furstenburg's story!

Nirvana holds a special place in my heart too - they are by far, far, farrrrr my favorite. RIP Kurt. I think the line is a nice homage to him :)

I love this collection. I spent many years strolling the dirty streets of Boston and playing in a rock band, so I'll always love what I call "Street Chic." Dries van Noten has hit a Grand Slam with this line. Surely we'll be hearing more about him in the months and years to come. Thank God for Chictopia~! Way Cool...

imafever Thanks for your kind words. Where does a starving artist and model looking for work turn when he has some clothing design ideas but no capital ? I have many ideas of what I think looks sexy on a lady and I'm pretty creative. My ideas have leather accents and hemp rope, silver, and cool boots galore. The leather accent ideas predate the current trend so I'd say my instincts are good.
