I feel like I have to fight like hell for every comment and ‘follow’ I receive on my blog, and it’s making me sad about blogging. I think my content’s interesting, and I don’t understand why despite all the work I’ve put into promotion and into my content, no one takes much interest. What am I doing wrong, folks?

When you find the answer, please share, that happens to me. I even paid for a new banner.

It takes a while! I don’t know all that much about it either, as I have few followers but I do get some comments and quite alot of views. Keep regular and keep posting. Don’t start doubting yourself! If you write your blog for you, then it will also be much nicer and more pleasing to read.

Anyway, dont give up. All the best!

If it was easy everyone would do it! I hardly have any followers but I really enjoy posting so I think that’s more important! Your blog is really cool so I think if you just keep going eventually more people will enjoy reading it. Sites like chictopia, chicisimo and lookbook are really good for getting more views. Good luck to you!

Ooh, never heard of Chicisimo. I’ll have to get on that one. Thanks!

That’s fine! I know I’m not good at what I do, and I should probably just stick to writing novels. I used to be a fashion blogger, which is why I have accounts on Chictopia and IFB. There’s no equivalent for art people, so I’m just using what I already have to build a new following.

I won’t lie and say that your comment about my prints didn’t get to me, but like you said, it’s something I’ve got to deal with. I don’t expect everyone to like them, and if enough people don’t like them, I’ll take my blog down and say the hell with it.

Been following your blog for a while and for me, you’re content is quite interesting. Before, all the blogs I follow are fashion blogs and you’re the only one which is somehow an art blog. I don’t think you should take it down because there are still some people who appreciate what you do. Me, for example, likes to look at your illustrations when I’m so tired of looking at the usual fashion blogs. You know, it’s like a relief, a break from something monotonous. If you love what you’re doing, just continue it. The reason why you don’t have a large following is that art blogs are not yet that known and ‘hot’ this season, same as before, when taking pictures of yourself and your outfits make you look like a narcissist. Just keep doing what you’re doing and remember that your passion is enough to keep you going.

@BANGbylo: That’s sort of what I’ve been doing, actually! I love drawing from pictures, so it works out really well. Thanks for the support, ladies! (Feeling much better!)
